A team of six lead teachers is working with the Center for Innovation in Engineering and Science Education (CIESE) at Stevens Institute of Technology to develop four curriculum modules that introduce concepts and approaches of systems and global engineering to high school technology and engineering students. Each of the modules will be piloted tested with teachers throughout New Jersey and elsewhere during the 2008-09 school year.
Each of the modules will employ and assess different approaches to curricula implementation that will enable effective global collaboration among schools and classrooms world-wide. The topics identified for the project are as follows:
- Introduction to the Core Concepts of Systems Engineering
- Home lighting in developing countries
- Water purification
- Biodynamic farming
